Captain's Day 2025
*CAPTAINS DAY - Sun 6th July*
Thank you to all of you who played yesterday in the Captains Day event, where we had 40 Teams entered.
Great to see so many familiar faces yesterday as usual sticking around to the end for drinks and presentation, and quite a lot of new members as well [some of which will be going in for Handicap review if they hit a 7 iron 210yds carry].
The format was questioned when I pushed it forwards, however I can safely say having heard the feedback after, and seen the scores coming in, that it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. It was also great to sit there as teams were coming in hearing of people throwing their partner under the bus in true Wycombe fashion 🤣
Special shout out to Duncan who saw parts of the course he has never seen before, especially on Hole 13 🤣. He will no doubt blame me for that hole but not my fault a scratch golfer missed the par putt from 3ft that hole [although he was breathing very hard lining the putt up and we genuinely thought he was going to keel over and not get back up 😅
